Re: Mpg

It equates to around 72 miles per imperial gallon. We use litres and kilometers here, but I converted it to miles per American gallon to make it easier for the majority of users on this site, who are american. And I still find myself converting kilometers per hour into miles per hour, mentally, to see what my speed "really" is.

Oh my, can I relate to that. The Metric system pulled the rug out from under me and then I got a job where U.S. measurements were sometimes used too. Thank goodness I finally found a calculator with all the conversions at the push of a button. On a sadder note the calculator finally died last June after 30+ years of service.

Re: Mpg

But, surely, you have to buy a very expensive "thingummy" to download the app onto?

Re: Mpg

It threw me off one day I was looking at a newer motorcycle I think a Victory and it said "106" on it. I couldn't help but think of cc's I thought that was the "standard" motorcycle engine measurement. But then I realized there is no way a big bike like that can pull it with only 106cc's.

I'd use the cc's so I could put a bigger number on the bike.

Re: Mpg

Americans like Cubic Inches. 106 is a lot of engine.
