I didn't have this problem when I mounted it on my bike. You may have to fiddle with the adjustments or reverse the clamps.
Where does it hit the tank, what part of the shield hits? When I put a windshield on my S50 the very lower corners of the shield touched the tank with the bars hard over to each side, and I stuck on a few of those self-sticking bumpers/cushion feet (those little round clear silicone or rubbery things you have inside cabinets to keep the doors from banging on the frame, or to elevate something off a glass table) and they stopped the shield from contacting the tank. Because they are clear and relatively small you don't even notice them and they do protect the tank from getting scratched by the shield. Login or Register to Remove Ads |
