Re: Oil Quantity
My recent oil change was an overfill, and the mechanic today saw that instantly; below carburetor was a bit of oil and the black thing that is between the blocks and seal came out a bit... He drained it, so now is OK, little below full. He checked the rest of the bike, retighten the chain, and said it's good to go! Battery was fine and good thing is also, he is really versatile and with the heart and soul into mechanics (he's a biker too, collector of oldtimers, restauring big american cars...) For 20 minutes job, i was there almost 3 hours

Re: Oil Quantity
Well I did it! I drained off about a half of a quart of oil. It turns out that a turkey baster doesn't fit. So I unscrewed the drain plug and held it there while a half a quart drained. Then I stuck the plug back in and screwed it up. Sure enough it is measuring just below the F line.

Re: Oil Quantity
Maybe a straw would work. Put it in then hold your finger over the end of the.straw and pull it out. Straw should be full of oil if the straw reaches.

Re: Oil Quantity
Use one of those plastic squeeze pump sprayers like on a Windex bottle or similar. The long straw will fit down to the oil level. Just have something to catch the oil you pump out.
