sometimes I think a tank mount with a swivel head would be great. set up a fair bit of drag so the camera angle doesn't drift and then you could point it in various directions while you ride.

Re: Some vids i shot with the GoPro Hero HD
I happened upon a film shoot in process recently when I went on a Cook's Corner run. I didn't see the whole rig, but basically there was a guy in the back of a pickup with a tripod mounted camera in the bed, tailgate was down and he might've even been sitting with his legs dangling over the side. The pickup driver paced the the motorcycle. They weren't going too fast when I passed them but I think they had slowed down to pull over and let me by. The camera looked pretty spiffy - not sure how it handles things like bumps, but, there aren't many on that road.

Many modern cameras have IS, Image Stabilization. They can take a fair bit of joshling around and still perform nicely.

Re: Some vids i shot with the GoPro Hero HD
My Playsport has IS which is noticeably effective for handheld operation, but can't quite deal with my thumper's oscillations in the current mounting configuration. I'm going to try a softer mount. Looking forward to your results today, WW.

Re: Some vids i shot with the GoPro Hero HD
Results were not great. Need some fine tuning to reduce the vibs from the road. Should not be difficult.
