Ah, there's the info. Follow doctor's orders is all I can suggest. Wishing you a complete recovery that allows you to ride soon!

No such luck It's two months since the accident, and I'm walking with a stick, but still got a bad limp, and I'm afraid I couldn't risk supporting the bike with that leg (with the other on the brake) However, I'm driving the car again, so at least I'm mobile. Looking on the internet, it says that full recovery is 4 to 6 months.

As for rehab.... at first I had a physiotherapist coming in three times a week, but at €30 ($45) an hour, that was $135 a week, which was a bit too much on pension. A couple of weeks ago I went back to see the doctor in charge of rehabilitation, who said he would arrange for me to go to the hospital for physiotherapy twice a week, but I've heard nothing more from him. Seems like they're more interested in people with private insurance than me who wants it doing on the national health service insurance. All I can do now is wait, but every day I try to do more walking to build up the muscles. Yesterday I walked down into the village to get our lottery tickets. Tough going, but if no one else is going to help me, I'm determined to do it on my own.
