LEDs are pretty darn bright. I dont see why those woulnt work for night riding. Those sport bike lights arent much bigger and produce less light than what he has (those are bulb vs his led). I run halogen signals that are ILLEGAL and quite honestly, light up more than any other turn signal i've ever seen. Even had a cop comment on how bright they are and said 'boy, nobody will miss you with those!'.

These leds are definetly brighter and the stock lights. I put them side by side and compared them. The only issue I may have now is how close I have them to the fender. I may want to think about spacing them out some.

A while back I was behind someone who had put some similar turn signals on his bike. From about 1.2 a block away I could not tell they were flashing it looked like his tail.brake light was changing color. I realized it was a turn signal at about 75 feet. I'm not doing that.

I think you will find that legal turn signals have DOT on the lens somewhere.

I'm not trying to scare anyone but I have read about this being used as an excuse to impound motorcycles. This is probably very rare.
