Re: This is "Bob"
Welcome to the forum, your bike looks very nice. I haven't named my last couple of bikes, but when I was a kid I had a Honda Trail 70 that was about the same color of blue your bike is and we all called it Ralph. I don't remember why, but even my parents referred to the motorcycle by the name Ralph. I can remember coming in for dinner at night and my mom would ask me "did you remember to put Ralph in the garage"? Anyway, as far as I know, Ralph has been dead for many years now, so the names available if you want to use it.

Re: This is "Bob"
Not sure why, maybe it was the tendency for eighties nerds to name their computers, often after Tolkien or Trek characters, but I've generally resisted giving anthropomorphic names to inanimate objects. Sort of like naming your toaster.
On the other hand, non-model or brand names crop up for me all the time, such as: "The Butterfly Car" (my POS Toyota adorned by daughter #1 with butterfly decals), "The Bus" (Suburban) and "The Beast" (my early name for my Strat, since abandoned as it is more like a kitty now.) In the early eighties I had a Plymouth Fury III I referred to as The BattleCruiser (it was the size of a star freighter and got escape velocity-like mileage.) And I think everybody at some point in their life has owned a Shitwagon.

Thats funny, me and now my wife have had cars called "the beast", I had a 91 Mazda Navajo (ford explorer with a mazda name plate) 4x4 that drank gas when you just talked about driving it, or looked at it, and it was big, so we called it the beast, (the 4 dollar plus gas prices finally slayed that "Beast") now my wife has a 03 Ford explorer sport that doesn't drink quite as much gas but it is pretty big, so it is "the beast 2", she even got one of those monster stickers that looks like claw marks to put on the back to make it official. And yes Alanc I have had more than my fair share of "shitwagons" :puke:
