If you lived in the Hot-Box down here like I do you would never say that. In the summer it is usually 100-105 with about 70-90% humidity, it feels like someone is suffocating you with a wet pillow every time you even go outside to check the mail much less to do something strenuous like mow the grass, I swear I feel like I am having an out of body experience every time I go outside to mow grass in the summer time. In the two summers I have had the GZ, It has actually been too hot to ride, even down the highway. In regards to Alan's original "cold riding record", last winter I rode 130 miles to my home town, when I left my house it was about 25, it was right at dark, by the time I got to Monticello, it was about 18 (without the wind chill at 65mph), I had a Brain bucket-Half-helmet on, and some deerskin winter gloves on, it was Effing cold.

Re: How cold IS it?
I'm (glad to be) back in sunny Socal. Gotta go pick up Suzi from her 3K service today. It's about 75, sunny and no wind. There's a reason why we pay Odles of bucks for small houses with no land.
Easy, get the heat turned up - I'm going to have to go back to Il three or four times before June.

Re: How cold IS it?
I rode it back from the dealio - stalled on the way out of the parking lot!!!
But the choke was completely off. Had no trouble after that - was keeping it up above 65, mostly over 70, on the 25 miles of freeway home. Haven't ridden it since then, still enamored with the Strat. But we'll see...

Re: How cold IS it?
I haven't ridden for months and I'm getting anxious! I was working a few hours away in Challis, ID a few weeks back and it topped out in the heat of the day at -30(didn't miss the bike too much that day).

Frankly, I think most of the more mechanical minded types on here could have done it themselves. The most important thing they did was clean my carb.
