I don't understand. What is this stuff you guys are talking about. How to you say it? R A I N. What the heck is that? I think I remember what this is but it has been well over a month at my house since I have seen this stuff. I just keep matches away from my lawn.

I don't really mind it (rain) too much myself, I ride and have rode in the rain several times, and except for when I get rained on unexpectedly without any rain gear on and get soaked I am fine with it. (and also the one time when I actually got hailed on) that was really UNCOOL!

Gets your bike all nasty though. :cuss:

The importance of boots

I learned very quickly (1/2 a mile or so) that a good pair of solid leather "riding" boots is a must. No matter how good a set of rain pants you have, if you don't have boots that make it up inside those pants all of the rain that runs OFF those pants is going to end up right in your shoe/hiking boot/whatever. Mean ol' Mr. Gravity strikes again!!!

When I got my bike it was around 40 to 50 degrees every day and seemed to rain at least every other day. I was so anxious for warm weather. It is pretty hot here in Indiana and it's humid all summer long. I still prefer this over the cold days. I had one mile on my bike when I bought it in April, I now have over 4000 miles and still climbing. Rain or shine I ride every day.

I've only been riding for a couple of months now. Here in central Florida that means heat, humidity and (thank you Fay  ) rain. It's been raining so much here my lawn needs to be mowed about every other day. But it sure is green !

I'm excited about getting to ride in the fall and winter!

Winter?

Who are you kidding? You don't have winter in Florida.

Come on up to Iowa in January.

I'll show you what winter is all about......

We have winter. Every couple of years it drops below 32F during a night or two.

And the roads are an instant mess as everyone forgets how to drive in the "cold".

Ha! No, but they forget every time it rains.... which is just about every day, all summer long. (I've always wondered why we're called the sunshine state)
