Absolutely thank a Veteran. They have provided a world where we live with freedoms unimaginable in other parts of the world. So many suffered during their fight for our freedom and they should never be forgotten. Many brave men and women never came home to their families.
It has been said that history is written by the Victors but let's not forget the other side of the coin. Our enemies also had many folks who never came home or suffered greatly. Everyone suffers in wartime. The folks back home await their loved ones return and pray for the violence to end. History keeps repeating itself and we never seem to learn from past wars and violence. We are an odd lot who inhabit this planet. |
