My build... almost done
So here is my 250... should be done in the near few weeks
I have completly removed all brackets behind the tank. All the wiring will be reduced and tucked... the battery box i made will house not only the battery, but the fuses and starter relay, and also a pocket for registration. I am still currently flapping off all rough spots and smoothening out the visable welds.. my seat bracket is still in the conception process but should something soon. The headers are being wrapped and sprayed and the exhaust tip is milled slash cut ss. Black drag bars... going black out trip tree and forks after i replace fork seals. Have a full jet kit to tune it for straght pioee and pod filter... hopefully it would be too horrribly difficult. Going to paint spokes and hubs black... new tires coming last, no white walls.. lastly, im not sure if i should leave the tank... Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Yes, thanks... it really a simplistic approach... for something thats so supposd to be very simple, it sure is taking a lot of work. But itll be worth it, before i stripped out the electrical, i yanked the seat, fender... intske box and put my little seat on it with the low drag bars (had to make spacers to raise the stock risers and had to make bolts to fit into the low profile bolt head holder of the riser) and rode up snd down my road. Its suprisingly roomy for my and im 6'. I will post pics of the box's insides so you csn see my compartments. I just finished wrspping yhe headers... even when wet that is a pain in the a$$

Lets say i sell afyer the build is done... what is a fair asking price? My 5 uear old REALLY wants me to ride mx with him and this bike seems like a tixket to a new dirtbike. I was thibking asking 3k and letting the people pick me down... does that seem fair? Im going to get it finished forst and rip around town first but just asking hehe

I was able to use some geometry to get the seat "leaned back" by taking the roughly 15 degree angle of the seat stay and the distance away "up and over" to come up with a total of 22 degrees from parrell to ground... the differnece is 7... so the bracket has 7 degree lean... or 83 degrees... how ever you look at it.
As long as i dont raise the rear of the seat... its actually REALLY fitting. Im 6' and i feel and open on it. I jist wany the seat a smidge a farther back... |

Some times a good idea is more work/trouble than it is worth. However it should look good in the long run. Post a pic when the pipe is on the bike please.
