Rear Brake Pedal

Is it just me or does it seem like the rear brake pedal is placed at a weird angle and too high. I have to take my foot off of the peg to press it and just feels awkward.

I have always thought so too. It seems too far in toward the center of the bike and a little high. I think, due to the amount of travel you need to fully engage the rear brake, that it would be unnatural to have to push your foot down and forward if it were lower and it would be in the way if it was further out and away from the center of the bike.

Very easy to adjust the pedal. They ALWAYS come incorrectly set from the factory. There's a nut and locknut under the pedal. Just loosen it and adjust the pedal until it's just under your foot when you're in the riding position, then lock it up again. You'll then have to adjust the brake at the rear wheel, so that it operates correctly, and adjust the brake light cable at the adjuster, half way along the cable. Really, it's just a five minute job, and well worth doing for comfortable braking.
