At the risk of sounding redundant, did you have the battery tested? If the battery checks out,you might have a short to ground in your wiring harness or another component. Electrical is not my strength, but check the harness for obvious damage. Someone else will hopefully jump in and fill in where my so called expertise is lacking.

The starter is shorted out. While the engine was running lean during our head gasket investgation, the header got way too hot(started a little bluing near the top). The wiring shroud over the starter wire is melted. Over the next few weeks i will dive into the electrical and re do it all. I ended up buying the bike from my son for 400$. Going to bob it.
