Did you do anything specific to reach such a mileage except from regular maintenance? Also do you think the GZ could handle a "long trip" ?
Edit : I wish there was a "general" thread, I have so many questions about different aspect of the bike but none of them really justify hijacking this thread or opening a new one. Login or Register to Remove Ads Last edited by golem; 10-20-2014 at 07:07 PM. |

The downside to travelling on the GZ is you always have to think ahead to determine how to tackle hills, headwinds and not getting run over by bigger traffic. Lynda moved up to a M-50 Suzuki(800cc) and enjoyed the extra power and size. Any more questions of any sort can be addressed when you start a new thread of your own. Don't be shy. |

still buzzin
Bought a new 2009 model in 2011 and have been riding into work most days. It has just over 58,000 miles on it. It has been a very reliable piece of transportation. Just had the valves adjusted and it is running really smooth. The engine was running a bit hot, I think the adjustment may have solved that problem.

I bought my 2009 GZ in 2010 with 1200 miles on. Original owner dropped it and got hurt. His loss my gain. Even with the few issues I'm currently dealing with, I've managed 27k+ miles. That being said, I try to stick to the maintenance schedule for the major things. Oil changes are super easy and cheap enough that I buy my oil filters 12 at a time. Chain cleaning and lubing are done every oil change as well.
