Clutch release camshaft
My motorcycle shifts into gear fine but the clutch won't engage the clutch release camshaft has a quarter turn with no resistance back-and-forth

I opened the clutch case pulled the pressure plate the pushpin out then I turned the clutch release camshaft clockwise and it tightened. I put the push rod , bearings and the pressure plate and adjusted The pushrod screw according to service manual everything seems to be working fine but I can't put the case back together until Tomorrow I need to buy A torque wrench for the pressure plate bolts... Anyone know what may have caused this in the first place ?

Sometimes things just get loose. Of course what do I know. The only things I had to adjust on Lynda's bike when she had it were the headlight and chain. I left valve adjustments to some one with better eye sight and experience.
Blue Loktite will keep fasteners in place. Never use the red stuff as it is a permanent formula and just like welding something solid. Login or Register to Remove Ads |
