Battery
Is it common for the battery to fail with no warning? I've had my GZ for a little over a year and the guy I bought it from installed a new battery spring of 2013. I have had no issues and have kept the battery charged. Today I went to work no problem, bike started right up after work and I stopped to run in a store and when I tried to start it-nothing-dead in the water.I pushed it home(about a half mile, that was a bitch) put it on the charger and it wouldn't hold a charge-toast. Got a new battery and she fired right up.Do these batteries just go out with no warning?

Yes. Especially if the they never got that good full charge to begin with.
Happened to mine. Now that you have that new battery.....if you don't have a battery tender--get one and use it. End of problems. |

Does this mean that you didn't charge it before you started using it? If so, you might have the same problem sometime in the future. Even if the salesman says that it doesn't need charging, don't take his word, but charge overnight at 0.75a before you use it.
