Newbie in NC

Hi folks, I am new to the gz250 and just made the purchase for $1500 on an 03 w/ 3100 miles. The bike is for my wife, I ride a Yamaha FJR 1300 which I am in love with . She really loves the bike so far. Thought this was a great deal after watching the prices for a couple months. These 250's in general are getting harder to come by lately. I hope she keeps the interest and we get to really test this little bugger out. I'm used to 120+ hp to the rear wheel, so I am probably not the best judge for this bike. They are the best looking 250 class cruiser IMHO. She's 5' even, so it's not like we had a bunch to choose from anyway. Made my decision very easy. Didn't want to pay the overblown price for a rebel, and she couldn't reach the ground on a 250 Ninja! She may be on the site @ some point, but she's not really into the forum thing. She's on a computer most of the day, so I understand that. I, on the other hand, am addicted. :rawk: Great site BTW.

Welcome. For people in your situation, we require only one thing: Complete honesty.

In a few weeks or months, when you have just a few errands to run, and you find yourself on the GZ instead fo the FJR, you are honor bound to come here and confess.

 I already have! I'll do these things from time to time.... Not often though. HONESTLY, if I'm going to run a few errands, I'll take the car. The FJR comes out for hundreds of miles at the time, or a ridiculously unsafe sprint around the backroads, of which I am not at all proud of.... I'll never be ashamed of a convenient scoot though! Not At All !!! These are cool little rigs...Heck , I've even been seen on my mom's sportster a time or... OK, just once.
