Headlight slightly dimming when indicators on

Hi!

I've noticed that the headlight dims very slightly as the indicator flashes.

I dont know if it always did this (only riding 2 weeks, this 2000 gz is my 1st bike)

I put a new battery in the bike 2 weeks ago, now, I dont have a meter to test volts or anything but is there any manual or visual checks i can do OR is this normal?!

Thanks!

Perfectly normal. That is a good indication that your charging system is up to snuff!!

Just the blinker taking extra electricity when it flashes. Will do the same when you put the brake light on.Also you will notice the headlight brighten when you rev the bike from idle. The charging system puts out a minimal amount at idle & puts out more when you rev the engine.
