hotwire. key wont work

I dont know what happened but my key won't work. When i put it in the ignition it goes in way to smooth (like its not touching anything) but doesnt seem to go in all the way. My car broke down so its my only mode of transportation. i need a quick fix. Could hotwiring it mess it up? If,not what colors are the wires to connect

Inside the lack? And what would be a good lubricant?
Thanks for the response!

Try some contact cleaner. Spray it in the ignition key hole.
