Re: Marlin Sinks Fishing Boat

Apparently the captain was backing up on the fish, as is common practice, and slipped or fell, and he lost control of the boat and the marlin may have tipped it enough to get the slight rough water rushing in over the transom and starboard quarter of the boat. Probably more the fault of the captain but the marlin may have helped. Anyway, it looks great and probably happened so fast they couldn't have released the drag on the line or cut him free fast enough. Must have shocked the shit out of everyone on the boat as well as the guy taking the pictures on the other boat. Enough to make you think twice about going after those powerful fish, and like that scene in Jaws, "We need a bigger boat".
Too bad the marlin can't put that boat on his trophy wall to show off to the other fish.

Sign on trophy wall: No humans were harmed sinking this boat.
