New GZ owner
Just bought my son an 06 for use at college after over a year on a scooter. Anyone have any thoughts re the 2006 model as far as mods, what's common, please lmk.

Those who know more will jump in , but, do a search for the needle mod (makes the engine happy). Being an 06 that might have already been done. The GZ is a great little bike - I'm sure your son will enjoy it.

Thanks; I used a DynoJet kit when I changed my 2008 Bonneville's stock pipes to Arrows. New mains, pilot, shims, needles. I will dive into this baby this week and see what we've got. Came w/ 13k miles so its prob up for some tlc.

Be sure and check the valves .013 on exhaust and .008 on intake :2tup:
