2005 GZ250

Well haven't done a lot to the bike. Blacked out the head light and speedo covers.
Front fender is off because I'm still cutting it down but I will put it back on

Man, I like that blacked out touch on the front there. Have you thought about doing the same for the fork brace cover and maybe even the lower fork tubes, just to bring it all together?

Jaime did his fork tubes way back in the day and they looked pretty good.

Re: 2005 GZ250

Thank you
I have been thinking about blacking out most of it but I'm still researching the best way to tackle the metal stuff.
For the light cover and speedo cover, I sanded the parts, used flat black "bumper" paint and then clear coat. But I noticed when I was putting everything back together, it still scratches off a bit easily.

Those removable covers on the engine, I actually used gold "engine block" paint and then baked them in the oven for an hour at 200F and that came out very durable.

I've heard BBQ paint works well on metal parts..

Re: 2005 GZ250

Do you have to bake the parts for the paint to cure?
