New GZ250 rider
Hey All. Picked up my GZ250, a 2003 with 5300 miles at the dealer Sunday. What a blast to ride. I previously owned a 2004 Yamaha VStar 650 Silverado, 2005 Harley Dyna SuperGlide and a 2007 Harley ElectraGlide Classic. Sold the Classic a couple of years ago when I started the Dave Ramsey "get away from debt" program. I was at least 2 years from getting another bike when I ran across the 250cc class bikes and realized I could afford one right now and get great gas mileage. I ran across this forum while researching and the information provided here helped me decide on the GZ250. Look forward to alot of great riding and great information from you guys here.

Re: New GZ250 rider
Hi there,
Now you've bought the bike, buy a can of carb cleaner. The geezer thrives on it, to make it run smoother. The carb is the only real "problem" with the geezer. :2tup:

Re: New GZ250 rider
Welcome to GZ250bike! Perhaps the "new normal" in the global economic picture will create a resurgence of interest in the more practical (but less powerful) 250 class. It's certainly a sweet spot between economics and practicality. It's a great fit for non-highway commuting and general errands.
