Down time this morning 11/1
Sorry for the down time this morning. There was a billing issue. Apparently i owed the web host money and paypal wouldn't give it to them. All is well now.
Paypal once again locked my account (2nd time this year) because i try to get a debit card from them. They want to verify that it's me (i been with them for 7 years you'd think they knew who the hell i was by now), so they just lock my account. Now i have to call them AGAIN and bitch at whoever i get on the phone. After the nice people at Paypal unlock my account, I am sure they will once again put my account on 'limited' status. Meaning, if i receive money, say via ebay, they hold it for up to 14 days until they feel they need to release it to me. Paypal sucks. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

That's too bad. I've never had a problem with them, and they are very convenient (and free! mostly) for sending people money.

I've heard bad things about Paypal when used on Ebay. When buying anything on ebay I use money ordres or some kind of secured cashiers check, or I wouldn't buy.

Re: Down time this morning 11/1
HA HA, I just got an email from them this morning claiming a third party tried to access my account so they have restricted it while they investigate. I haven't used them for years and there is no money in the account. Maybe its a phishing email, I have sent them an email to see if it is genuine.

I've used Paypal for years without any trouble either buying or selling and getting paid thru them. I probably average 5-6 transactions per month thru them, so far without incident. Sorry to hear that you have not had the same type of service.
