Another Wheelchair Motorcycle

So I check this stupid site called acidcow.com frequently. It's basically just a lot of random pictures every day. I found this today:

http://acidcow.com/cars/11103-wheelchai ... -pics.html

I know we've seen something like this before but these are pretty cool.

Re: Another Wheelchair Motorcycle

Based on a BMW R1200GS by the looks of it. They don't give those away, much less the modifications. When he's going 0 to 60 in 7.6 seconds, I hope he remembers to close the back door.

[edit] Looking closer, those aren't all the same vehicle, and it looks like different ones are based on the R1200R or the R1150R with a few slightly different modifications and some GS parts added in a couple of cases. The fact that it still tops out at over 100 mph with all that added weight is a testament to the power of that engine!

Anyway, it's a great idea.

Re: Another Wheelchair Motorcycle

Would be a lot cheaper to get a convertible Smart car with hand controls.

Cheaper, yes indeed. As fun? Probably not. And, if you've ever helped someone in a wheel chair get in and out of a conventional car, you'll appreciate the ramp arrangement on the converted Beemer.
