Apartment Living
What do you riders do who live in apartments? Use a cover at night? I do not have access to a garage or car port.

Locks, locks, locks, alarms and a watchful eye...and a good full-coverage insurance plan.

Re: Apartment Living
Invest in a disc lock. Do you or can you park near a pole that is still out in the open ?? Get a length of chain and a good lock..........By the way you will soon get tired of chaining your bike to a pole and finally just quit. Buy insurance and ride it.

Re: Apartment Living
My apartment is on the back side of the building away from the parking lot. I ride my bike around the building and park in the grass in front of my door and put the cover on it. So far, the only complaint I've had was from the maintenance guy, he asked me to park farther from the sidewalk so he could drive his golf cart between some trees. I had been blocking his way (unknowingly). Some other people park in spots and use covers, but as far as I can tell they live in apartments facing the parking lots.

Re: Apartment Living
I'm lucky, in that we've got communal parking under the building. I always use the disc lock, but it still didn't stop someone breaking into my (empty) luggage box, so, whatever you do, make sure you don't leave anything on the bike that can be removed/broken into.

Re: Apartment Living
Thanks for the tips. I don't have a pole to chain up to, I plan on a disk brake lock and a chain lock to the suspension of my Cutlass.
