Shasta Trinity National Forest & Redwood National Park
Hello, there.
I finally got the longest bike ride trip in my life; took about 2000 miles. However, it couldn't break the time on the saddle, spend about 3-4 days. Started at the early Friday afternoon, and back to home Monday afternoon at 4. The weather conditions was perfect, not too hot, not too cold... No strong windy at the road >> this was great for me as I hate wind while I was on the saddle. My destination was take photo of "Welcome Oregon" road sign. Yes, I did... ha ha ha As it's so simple purpose, I took some de-tour; took Hwy 36 and Hwy 299 which is part of Shasta Trinity National Forest and Redwood National Park. The road trip on both highway was really great; I spend a whole day to finish out both of them. About 200 miles around, and sceneries are just amazing along with road conditions. Couple of stories... 1. A hitchhiker with a violine, and he melodied a tune for me. (he is in the some of the video clips I took) 2. First video clip under the rain; but just a couple of minutes and small drops of rain. 3. I almost hit a deer at the road >>> it was scary moment... I never thought that could be happened to me... 4. and... few... most of them I already forgot... ha ha ha I want to show all the seneries but they are too long and not that good condtion this time. But let me put some un-usual (for me) bike video clips here. If you want to see boring senery clips, you can follow the video window with clip names; end with Alpa. letters. You may like road sceneries too, if you have been there yet. Those were breath-taking seneries for me. Here are the clips to share with you.... In The Rain >> my new camera is WATER PROOF.... ha ha ha [youtube:1c7moofh]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfcgurKUiso[/youtube:1c7moofh] Some Foggy Road [youtube:1c7moofh]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-sTi7qJ-7c[/youtube:1c7moofh] Sunset Scene [youtube:1c7moofh]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWhRTjP_G6g[/youtube:1c7moofh] By the Road Work [youtube:1c7moofh]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVOVbIik5Wc[/youtube:1c7moofh] Thanks.

HOLY CRAP! Busyweb, 2000 miles in 4 days. Man that is some serious seat time right there, oh by the way I have been meaning to ask you, do you still have your GZ, because I don't ever see it in your ride reports anymore?
Keep on rackin' up those miles Busyweb :rawk: , just don't forget to check in once and a while so we don't get worried about you again.

I hate how work servers block image hosting websites and links.... I can't see anything but Music Man's scary lawnmower and Busy's old woman trike.

Re: Shasta Trinity National Forest & Redwood National Park
Thanks for the comments all.
After some good long riding exeriences, I got some tricks time to time for the longer riding time. 1. Changing riding postures when got tired; changing butt, back, hand, arm, or legs positions accordingly 2. Most of time, try to relaxing on it but keep high alerted on the road and traffics 3. Having good meals helped me for the longer riding time 4. Try to avoid Night Time riding... ha ha ha >> it gives rider fatigue multiple times 5. Don't do high speed if road/traffic is not safer >> i found that high speed also gives some effect on the riders energy consumtion >> and it only gives max. 1 or 2 hours saving 6....weather conditions would be helped me too on the last trip. All these are common senses, but I did not concerned when riding bike..until recently. On the this trip, I made mostly 160-170 miles before the gas and rest without butt/back ache. (big improvement for me, my last max riding mileage was 150 with high fatigue) Aha, I found some interesting tips for the ROAD WIND during this trip. I don't know this could be applied on the all the road, but.. For the wind preditions, I usaually see the Trees-Movement or Trees-Standing-Shape at the side of road. If most of trees are leaned-shape >> those areas are high windy most of time.. But if there were no trees; plain, desert, or else places??? On the high mountain curvers or coast line curvers, there are some un-predictable wind turnnels at some places >> almost can't be predicted... This might be not always true, but LOOK AT THE SKY.......... If you see the BIRDS are playing above the sky, there are some wind around it.......ha ha ha ha ha ha >> some places there were no bird at all.... (this is not a joke but some of my analysis during the last riding... ha ha ha) Anyway, safe riding for all of you..... Thanks P.S.: Mr. Patrick, I forgot to put some cotton ball... I found that I missed it later at home...
