Is it two "pronged", ie: joined female and male connection? If so, that is for a battery tender.

You can make a set of inexpensive booster cables by going to a store like Radio Shack or similar, getting some small battery clamps and some 8 or 10 gauge wire and crimping on and taping up the clamps. Just label the ends so you don't cross + and - when you make the battery connections when you jumpstart the bike. It can be 10' long and coil up small enough to fit into the small storage compartment under the set. I made a set and the cost was maybe $10 or less and much cheaper than buying one and much more compact. These are heavy enough gauge to handle the draw of the starter motor. |
