New rider from Ontario Canada

Hi there everyone:
I just took the safety course in June this year and today purchased my very first bike the GZ250.!! (here in canada we call them Marauder as well) So here goes, I pick it up tomorrow night (well someone else will be), will post some pics when I have it in my hands. And will let you know how the drive around the parking lot goes, hopefully I will progress from the there soon..or thats my plan anyways. I have sweaty hands just thinking about it. Wish me luck!

Re: New rider from Ontario Canada

Thanks for the welcome...Well last night I picked my bike up...spent 45 mins in the parking lot.....I graduated tonight!!! :2tup: I ventured out onto the road...sweaty palms and all...(amazing how hot you get in full gear.)
few jerky starts and missed gears but I made it..it really helped that i had my boyfriends 21 year old son out with me on his Suzuki GXR 600...he didnt let me wuss out on much and made sure i didnt get into too much trouble .totally different than driving around the parking lot on the safety course!...so many thing to remember so I tried to focus on 1 thing at a time and that seemed to work better. I even crossed the paths of other cars and avoided driving into them, amazing what happens when you actually look away from something your trying to avoid!! So first ride under my belt.....can only get better from here.

Welcome to the noob club!! The first rides are a little nerve racking but sooo much fun. I still haven't gone over 51 mph but in time I will. Congrats on your first ride though!
