Greetings Earthlings (me in human form)

Here's little ole me on a beach on Lana'i (Hawai'i). It's called Shipwreck Beach, but I can't figure out why! When I'm back out on Maui this winter, I plan to rent a Harley and do some serious riding and picture taking.

When I was a teenager (seems so long ago) I lived in Honolulu with my sister who was stationed there in the navy for about a year. It was hands down the most beautiful and fun place I have ever been. And I hear that the other Islands (such as Maui) are even better, if that is possible. Its sad, I took probably 400 pictures of just about every historic site and tourist attraction over there and I have maybe twenty of them. Seems like every time you move Pictures have a way of vanishing doesn't it.

Later :rawk:

Sweet. I'll have to add Shipwreck Beach to my list of places to go in Hawaii, whenever I actually make it out there.

Honolulu

Music man, I agree that Honolulu is an amazing place indeed. For my money, however, I'll take more remote areas. Maui is a whole lot more rural and where we usually stay. We stay in the upcountry at a cottage we rent from a local artist/musician lady. None of the "touristy" hurley burley. I found Kaua'i to be even more laid back and it may be my very favorite place on this planet. If I can ever swing the high cost of housing out there I think Sweetie and I might just buy ourselves some one-way tickets and go. Until then, I'll have to be satisfied with the occasional visit!

--Magnar Infectus, Dude, you must make Hawai'i a place to see before you die and before you're too old to enjoy it. If you get out there and get away from the tourists and get to know some real people, it'll change your whole outlook on things when you get back to the Mainland.

Aloha from beautiful Blytheville Arkansas..crime capital of the South
