Rode with Alan C. starting his trip

We cruised through LA before traffic got heavy and picked up Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica. The coast was overcast and I didn't take any beachy pictures. First stop was a Starbucks in Malibu.

Thought this sign was an interesting mix of things that could be purchased at Trancas Market next to the Starbucks.

From Malibu we took some canyon roads up into the hills to the Rock Store on Mulholland Highway.

It's a locally famous place where all sorts of bikers hang out, get a beer and a burger, and talk about their bikes. We didn't do any of that, but I DID get a sampling of Alan's piano skills.

We went further up the coast, but I neglected to take any more pictures. I turned around in Oxnard (what kind of name is that for a city??) while Alan continued on his way. On the way back, the coast was sunny, but I didn't take any beachy pictures.
