i richen it up (moved the needle valve up w/a thin washer, 1/32"). seems to be running much better. but, it's still not idling quite right.

i think i've gone through any/all poss vacume leak. it doesn't seem to have any. but, it does run better when the vacume line to the petcock is disconnected.

i'll look at a the exhaust for a possible restricted flow. one of the pipe does have a dent.

i was also considering the float metering valve/jet. it seem to have a lot of play at the wire clip that attaches it to the floats. i thought this might be the cause of the engine idling down after a few moments...

any thoughts?
