Well, you do strap em on, plug 'em in and you got to tune them up. Steering is best accomplished with two hands. There are basic models and there are ones that come with all the farkles and whistles. Some guys play theirs regularly, many sit around just collecting dust and fallling out of tune. You can go solo or play in a group. Some guys focus on their "riding" skills, some mostly on how loud theirs is compared to yours. You can go slow or fast, long or short.

Some girls may find you more attractive if you know how to operate them.

It's pretty much the same deal as the bikes, except you don't usually don't have to wear a helmet (roadhouses excepted) and, in most cases, they don't run on gas.
