Attaboy! I've had 3 relatives that I know of suffer maladies of some sort, and instead of doing their rehab and getting back to what they were, they let the muscles atrophy and, in one case, someone actually lost the use of their arm... Walking through the discomfort is commendable. As long as it doesn't hurt to the point of falling down dead, then it's probably good for your muscles

An excellent item for something like what you're dealing with are these small stationary pedal machines. You simply put it in the floor in front of you and even while you are sitting down, you can pedal and build up some muscle strength and increase your range of motion in the lower portion of the leg while diminishing impact pain. I usually get them at health supply stores, but I don't know if that's an option for you. If it's not, they're all over the place online.



I keep one under my desk just for shits and giggles - and to alleviate the old desk leg syndrome
