Re: Hi there
Hi Jeff,
I gotta' go with Water Warrior on this one. I am in Phoenix, Arizona, so I know ALL about hot and riding in the heat. There are some great mesh jackets out there that have some great flow through. And to be honest, I sometimes think they keep me cooler than if I was just wearing a shirt because of the airflow factor. I wear a Frank Thomas XTiII that I got at a Cycle Gear here in Phoenix, and it is working great for me. From what I hear, Joe Rocket makes some great Jackets too, particularly the Phoenix series. You might be surprised, especially if it is really humid there, to find that the jacket actually keeps you cooler - and of course, safer. I dumped a 750 almost 20 years ago wearing a polyester Taco Bell uniform, and let's just say that after that nice bit of road rash all up and down my chest, I simply won't ride without a jacket and other protective gear anymore. I know it's a hassle sometimes, and it seems so much easier to just run out the door in what you are wearing. But believe me - if you ever lay a bike down going 40 mph like I did, that extra minute or 2 probably won't seem like such a hassle. In any case, ride safe, and enjoy that bike man :2tup: AZ Kev
