New.

I'm Dan. I'm 19 (youngin'). I bought a blue 2006 GZ250 brand new in may 2008. I have 2800 miles on my bike. I had a problem when i first got my bike i was wondering if any one else had. At about 600 or so miles (2 weeks after getting my bike) the rear fender on my bike shifted to the right causing the fender to rub against the wheel, breaking 6 spokes. I noticed it had happened because when i would release the throttle while i was riding the rear of my bike seemed to shimmy. Suzuki warranty completely covered the work but it was in the shop 3 months! (all summer ) The shop explained it as a factory defect that happens to some GZ250s but I couldn't find any record online of it happening to anyone else. The bike rides fine now and as i said it didn't cost a penny. As i mentioned earlier i'm young I've yet to mention however that im also dumb. A month maybe a month and a half after i got my bike out of the shop I was riding on a winding road with a 35 mph speed limit at about 60 needless to say I slipped off the road and wrecked. I was fine besides road rash all the way up my right leg (shorts.. young and dumb). The bike had 1500 dollars in damage. I had full coverage though so it only cost me the deductible of 500. Wrecking a bike gives you a lot more respect for a bike. Got it back 2 months later perfect. I've had my bike 7 months, 5 of which were in the shop, and i put 2800 miles on it. Thats sorta impressive.
