New Rider on an Old Bike.
Hello. As the title says, I'm new to the world of motorcycles, which hasn't been the most helpful at he moment. I recently bought a 2000 GZ250 for $150 and as you can guess, it needs some work. Thankfully I've come across this site and hoping it will be as helpful to me as it seems it has to others, with the help of other riders.

Re: New Rider on an Old Bike.
Welcome to the forum from South Carolina. Since you're new to motorcycles I'd recommend you take the MSF BRC (Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course). It's the best investment in your safety you can make. Ride safe.

Welcome.
As a new rider you should spend some time over at msgroup.org. Read the tips and view some videos.

Re: New Rider on an Old Bike.
Thanks again for the welcomes. If I can get my bike running, I do intend to take a Riders Safety Course. Yes PG tips, I meant $150. I knew I was going to be putting into the bike what I saved on it.
