Chicago Noob sort of
Hello, My name is Sal Medina. I am glad to have found a site for the GZ250CC. I bought mine in 2007 and am finally making the jump to highway driving.
Unfortuntaley, I dropped my new bike within the first 2 weeks of purchase in 2007 on a very small slow turn, when I failed to lean correctly and hesitated the turn. Didnt drop a bike once in class, go figure. It was all slow motion fall, caught my left ankle, scrapped my left knee and elbow. My bike suffered small scrapes , small painting damage and I was limping for a couple of months. Luckily there was no traffic and I was able to walk my bike back home a block away. It could have been worse. Once recovered, I bought bike boots (got rid of high top gym shoes) and purchased an armor padded jacket. This is was embarassing because I weigh 225lbs and the bike weighs 300lbs. How I managed to drop it aimlessy is beyond me. A small fall with extruciating pain for weeks. I now have 1,000 miles on it and driving on the freeway for short commutes. Recently added a windshield. Going to add blue neon lights soon. I love this bike but I will be looking into upgrading to a more powerful bike next spring. :rawk: Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Glad you're enjoying your ride.
Everyone drops their bike sooner or later. Good thing for you it was sooner and you're not hurt. |

Yeah I droppped mine too, a couple times, the stupidest was when rear-ending a car at 3 mph, I wasn't looking. My list of "parts I would like to order to replace the cracked / damaged ones" is getting longer and longer....
Well I thought too, last year: " I will sell it next spring" - but I'm not outgrown it yet and I'm starting to really like it. I don't do highway with it and is is good for all other roads. Try to keep the rubber side down !
