How to connect RPM meter
Dear Forum members,
I have bought a used RPM meter. The RPM meter contains 3 cable. One is red for plus, the second is black for minus, and the green should be connected somewhere, maybe transformer? Could you please tell me exactly where, maybe some picture of it.. From where can I get also the power to maintain it. I mean to which point should I make the connections (if possible to keep the wire length at minimum) Thanks! Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: How to connect RPM meter
This isn't for asking 'how to' do something. This is for showing board members 'how to' projects and maintenance.

Re: How to connect RPM meter
In the "how to" threads, look at the "how to install a tachometer" thread.
The + (red) goes at the horn (the two-color wire on the right side of it, is +12V); the signal goes at the ignition under the tank (NOT the spark plug side, but the input side); and also the black one (0V/ground) you can connect at the ignition, I think I loosened the bolt that holds the igniter and put it in between, and tightened the bolt again.
