oil leak

seems that my gz250 has sprung an oil leak but it only seems to leak when im riding, it mostly comes out of the top of the motor by the oil filter could it just be a bad seal? is it going to cost alot to repair? i worry cos this is my only transportation and can't do with out

the seal from the oil filter shoulnt be a tough fix. in the meantime keep a sharp eye on the oil level. bike only holds a quart

It just worries me cos it doesn't seem to come from the oil filter but the seal further back th one that goes all the way around and not just the front where the oil filter and its 3 bolts are at... If that makes any sense

oh the cover gasket gotcha now. yeah no biggie go order you one ride the bike till you get it then install the new one. shouldnt be a hard job one bit. just dont forget to drain the oil befre you take the cover off lol

absolutely, but use your common sence and if the drip is bad enough it could get on your tire and cause a slip, unlikely but keep in mind
