Do you want the one with Charlie Brown & Snoopy?

Re: Will a sportster "peanut tank" fit?

Hi. I just installed one on mine.

I can upload pics later and show you how I mounted it. Keep in mind the petcock will be located on the right-side unless you found one that has been moved to the left. Also, the petcock on mine does not have a vacuum tube but it was just as simple as plugging the hole on the other end of the tube... right on the carb. Auto parts stores sells the plugs.

Update: I found a pic on my phone.

So basically, I had to drill a hole in the frame that will fit a long bolt to mount the tank. For the bottom/rear, I bought clamps from Home Depot that have rubber pads from the electrical section. I've gone over 100 miles so far the past week since installation and no issues. I can send you detailed pictures if needed.

Thanks man! Yeah, it's stock tire. Seat was from ebay but came with the coil springs. Those hairpin springs were also from ebay for $12 a pair. I can show you how I installed those too, just by using anchor bolts. I've never welded before or I would've done so much to the frame.

I got your PM, I'll take the pics tomorrow during daylight.

Good luck with your project!

Ken

It's a Harley rigid strut. $17 from ebay. You literally just take the nuts off from the stock shocks and slide these in its place. Got the tip from this site actually. It will drop the bike and you will more than likely have to shorten your stand. I didn't have to since I installed a 19" front wheel on my bike.

Updated, Pic with the new wheel.

I thought you'd never ask.

Sure thing! I would gladly make one.

I'd also suggest one for the seat, since that and exhaust are the most commonly asked questions on the forum.
Be sure to use lots of photos.
