Saddlebags

I'm looking to put saddlebags on my '05 GZ250, and I was wondering if I had to take off the rear seat. If I do need to do that, how would I go about removing it?

If you want to put them on permanently,you should put them under the seat.You need to remove the front seat to remove the two Allen bolts on the front of the rear seat than there is one bolt on the rear fender.You will also need a set of bag supports to keep the bags out of the spokes.

bag supports are those little metal bars that go along the back of the bike? and how do i get the front seat off?

Oh.Welcome to the forum.
Yes,they bolt to each side of the rear fender.The left side cover has a lock on it.Your ignition key fits it,just turn to the right to unlock the seat.You can down load the manual for free.Here is the link.

Don't put your key in the under the seat plastic pocket. Just saying. On the other hand, that is a good place for registration and proof of insurance.

Also a good spot for a tire pressure guage and flashlight.
