4 day weekend

Just got back yesterday from a 4 day ride around the province. Not the whole province but a lot of new roads and met a bunch of new friends. 450 miles of smiles and giggles because the traffic was light and the weather did actually cooperate. Happy Hobo on the 250 and me on the Vstrom 650. I am trully amazed with the 250's capabilities in the mountains and curves. Granted I am not riding it but watching in my mirrors and seeing that little bike roar up some of these mountain roads is a thrill because I know it was the right bike to buy.
With the windshield, expandable soft bags, 28 L trunk and heated grips it is quite the small bore touring bike. No, it will not be on any major interstate highways cause they are boring and just too fast for comfort. The 250 works well on any other road as has been mentioned here by many riders. Lynda has been making noises about a cross country trip on the bikes and I have no doubt the 250 would do it with no hesitation. The determining factor will probably be the old guy on the 650 and his bad back showing up.

" CAMPING "......... oh my no !! Had to give that up years ago due to hating all the work involved. Never was much of a boy scout. Motels, hot showers and hopefully a decent bed with A/C and heat depending on the temps. Happy took a few pics but I don't have a clue how to post them. Will try to talk her into it. Weather was nice, just a wee bit cool on ocassions and only a few minutes of rain the first day. Did have a fair bit of wind on some roads but nothing to slow us down or scare us. Happy is really having the time of her life with the 250 and the twisties in the mountains. When we got home Wednesday evening the rain started and has not stopped yet. Rain gear, never leave home without it.
Must say I had a few negative thoughts about the 250 last year when we picked up. Didn't think it would be much of a long distance runner at highway speeds but I was sooooo wrong. The 250 ROCKS.

Hi everyone....i was brow-beaten into doing this photo post....i have no idea if it worked or not.....i think the Bob person should learn to do this himself...all those who agree say "aye"
Yes we had a wonderful mini holiday as Bob told you ...so i won't chew it twice. I guess if i posted more often i would get more comfortable doing it,but at this point it just makes me nervous......atgatt
