Tube/Tubeless??
I just noticed that my rear tire on my bike looks like its newer than the front, and the front tire is a tube-type..and the rear is tubeless? When its time to replace the front can I go to tubeless in the front as well?? Thanks

Re: Tube/Tubeless??
There is a tube in the tire.
Spoke wheels= tube tires. Most tires you use will be tubeless with a tube inside. I found the Kenda tires to be a good replacement.

It is hard to get the orginal size tire for the front 110-90-16. I use the Kenda challenger 100-90-16. :2tup: |

Re: Tube/Tubeless??
ok, thanks... i have heard before that you are not supposed to put tubes in tubeless tires though, because of the plies of the tires rub against the tube inside and can cause a flat...?

When pressed against the tire at 30 PSI, the tube isn't doing much moving around. Don't trust any other advice you get from that person either.

Re: Tube/Tubeless??
Been running a tube in the rear tubeless tire on the Vstrom for almost 12000 miles. No problems and the tire doesn't generate any extra heat which was my main concern. Have also used tubes in auto radial tires with good results. Even a small puncture in the wrong place can not be repaired so the tubes do the job instead of getting a new tire.
