Re: New Uk rider.

Hi there, & welcome to the madhouse. Sorry to say, it's mainly Yankees on the site ( ) You're the 1001st or 1002nd member, but I think there's only three of us Englishman here. Tell me, what part of Yorkshire is "Surrey" ( ) The other guy's from Liverpool. You'll be alreet lad, so long as yer don't come across with yer poncy Southern ways ( :neener: )

Joking aside, I reckon the only difference with the 125 (when you look at it) is that it's only got one exhaust pipe coming from the engine. Why not let us know what the performance is like, with such things as top speed, fuel economy, acceleration etc., as I think you're the only guy on the site with a 125.

BTW, even though I'm from up North, my son lives in Oxford ( ), & I've been living in Tenerife for just over seven years now. :2tup:

BTW again, How much do new Marauder 250s run in the U.K. Over here they're just over €3000, & the € is roughly on par with the £.

Re: New Uk rider.

Only three! im surprised. Tbh i have never seen a 250 in old Blighty, i think they must be a rarity compared to the 125.

As for performance figures, mine likes to cruise at 65, but i did once get 75 with a slope and tail wind. not sure about the 0-60 have never timed it, that shall be my project for tomorrow. On average i get around 68 Mpg which is ok i think not sure how to improve it other than inflating the tyres!
As I said, I have never seen a 250 for sale, i just had a quick look on ebay and autotrader and could find any. I paid £1600 for mine and it only had 300 miles on the clock, that seems to be the going rate

Thanks for the welcomes guys!

Yes, second hand prices of cars (especially) are much cheaper than over here. I come back to my daughter's, every year, for 3 or 4 weeks holiday, & every time I go past a used car showroom I'm amazed how cheap the cars are, so I can well believe that second hand bikes are also much cheaper. My 3 year old marauder 250 cost me just over €3000, & it's second hand value is around €2,500.
