Nice size. Since they get their capacity by being WIDE instead of DEEP, they will add some wind resistance.....probably. Since they are wide....and you have plenty of vertical clearance from the exhaust....I think I wouldn't want them to flare out any farther than necessary; IE not bend out the brackets. If you have any extra lengths of mounting straps tucked "safely" away, I suggest that you cut the extra off and seer the ends.....or tie the extra some way that is VERY secure. Getting a loose strap caught in the chain is NOT a good event. (Wonder how I know that.....???)

Re: Thumbs Up for Tourmaster
I like the looks of the new bags a little more than the leather. As for a wide butt, that is good. A better chance of being seen by following traffic. You could also put some reflective material on the bags for more visibility. Some Solas reflective material is made to stick on soft materials.

Re: Thumbs Up for Tourmaster
Do you need those front and rear straps connecting the bags together? What do they do, keep the bags from flapping around at speed?
Can you attach them to the bag supports for the same purpose and a cleaner install, without rubbing on more painted areas? |

Re: Thumbs Up for Tourmaster
I've bought a lot of Tourmaster products over the years: everything from rain gear, gloves, saddlebags, tank bags, tail bags, you name it. I have no experience with their customer service for the simple reason that no product of theirs ever failed, or failed to meet or exceed my expectations. Nuff said.

I like the idea about the reflective tape. I'll have to look into that.
