Possible new profile fields...
Not sure how difficult this is, but can you add:
Windshield? (Y or N) Alleged top speed: Alleged MPG: 16T? (Y or N) to profile? It would put freeway ride reports and such in context for us newbs...

Not a bad idea. The more information for people to play with, the better.
Besides, it wouldn't hurt anything.

I like the idea. The results could be put into the "what I ride" field, if that would be easier.

Oh, it's been done already. Check your Profile update page.
I'd like to limit the amount of raw information in the profile fields in the post pages, but they'll all show up in the Individual User Profile page.

Re: Possible new profile fields...
There's a difference in the years? Didn't realize. Maybe I should put the color, too?
Tyrying to decide if I want to make another run for another windshield. Most of the time, with the full helmet, the wind doesn't bother me that much. But on the freeway it's constant. But then I wondered if the windshield would slow me down. Chris seems to get good speeds and rides on the highway a lot. I forgot if he had a windshield or not.

Once you try it, I don't think you'd go back. Here's mine: Hard to get a really good picture of a transparent shield: Better. Since those were taken, I have tilted the top back just a tiny bit more (maybe an inch).

Re: Possible new profile fields...
I'm sure you've posted this before and if I wasn't so damn lazy I'd look it up, but, I'd like to get a windshield (I screwed up on my first try - I should have just bought the one Sarris told me to get) and you seem to be the GZ expert of the site - what is your make and model and where can I order it from? I was thinking about getting the one Sarris told me to get, but Accessories International might not want to sell to me anymore. (I haven't confirmed yet that they credited me with the first one I bought either, so if they stiff me, I won't buy a replacement from them.)
The one I got was definitely defective (hole alignmentwise), not to mention missing parts and having a totally impossible to shim mounting kit. If it was a saddle bag, that's one thing, but I don't want to take chances with something flying off as I'm white knuckling it down the freeway...

My dealer charges list price but does NOT charge extra for shipping, so shopping the web probably won't save you much, if any. Memphis Shades has a good web site to shop B/4 you visit the dealer. DISCLAIMER: This is a BIG shield; some would call it ugly. I don't care. It does what I want. I have my bars rotated back and down a bit so I had to get longer rods for the upper mounting points to get the height and angle I wanted. I think you NEED a tall shield but not necessarily one that wide, or with lowers. YMMV. EDIT: Here is (what looks like) another good (or even better maybe) option for a "full size" shield. Had I seen this B/4 I got mine, I might have one too. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1362&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
