Downpayment
Well this Friday I'm going to put some money down on my 2009 GX 250cc at Crossroads powersports in Upper Darby, Pa.. I can't wait to get it and get out in the wind. I'm so glad that this forum is here for like minded people.

Hey Meltinpix, good for you! Welcome to the forum. I love riding my GZ. I am in central Bucks County PA not too far from you. I ride past you on 476 on my way to Maryland quite often. This forum is a goldmine of info on the gz250 and the members are outasight! :2tup:

GZ250. I'm hoping to have it by xmas. I guess they do well on the highways. What is top speed? Mr. Softie you're pretty close. Honk your horn the next time you go by on the blue route.

Re: Downpayment
There's mixed opinions on that Melt. IMO, the GZ does well on backroads and up to 55-60 roads. I think it is the wrong bike for interstates, freeways, etc. where the posted limit is 65 or higher and the true speed of traffic is 75-80. It's actually not too bad on smooth asphalt, but it's unnerving on grooved, wavy or scalloped cement pavement. I've been told a windshield helps and I have one on the way.
You might check with the folks along the Ohio Indiana turnpike runs. If I recall correctly those roads used to be a little on the rough side.
