New 06' GZ250 Owner

Just picked her up today. 2006 GZ250. Smooth ride so far, totally stoked.

Thanks! First street bike yes, but started riding dirt bikes at 6 until I was about 20. My friend let me cruise around on his Honda Rebel a few weeks back and I forgot how great riding is. Happy to be back on a bike again!!

Cool, a dirt rider has skills that do come in handy on the street. Especially with a bike you can stand on while riding. adly the GZ isn't one of them.

I suggest you take a proper riding course to tune up your skill for the street and get rid of any bad habits that you have. Been there, done that. Boy, did I learn a lot from a pro instructor. I must have had my Guardian Angel sweating bullets for many years.

Also pick up a copy of Proficient Motorcycling by David Hogue. He is extremely good at imparting riding knowledge from his own experiences on 2 wheels. Most riding course are based on his knowledge because it just plain works.
