So I know that there are a few types (metal, non-metal and ceramic) any idea which is the best brand and type to use?

Re: Brake Pads

Dunno what brands you can get in America, but as I live in a very hilly country, I only get 2000 to 3000 miles out of a set of pads. The worst ones I ever used were the high performance ones. Waste of the extra money. They squealed, gave no better performance, and didn't even last as long as the regular type.

Re: Brake Pads

I ask because I got a pair (don't even remember the name) the lasted a whopping 800 or so miles before I had to change em. I live in Austin, TX which I don't think is hilly.
